How We Work

A process built to find what carriers miss.

Most restoration companies estimate, build, and walk away. We do four things differently — and they're the reason CJ Restoration has identified over $11M in scope deficiencies missed by carriers across 2,000+ projects.

01Inspect & Document

Forensic-level inspection. Every system, every detail.

Most carrier inspections last 20 minutes and miss the damage that matters. Ours don't.

We arrive on-site with the same training, software, and methodology insurance carriers use — then we go further. Our inspectors are Haag-trained and experienced in commercial roofing systems, code requirements, and the construction realities that turn small storm events into major repair scopes.

  • Full property and roof system inspection with photo documentation
  • Identification of all storm-related damage, including hidden secondary damage
  • Code compliance review against current building requirements
  • Detailed scope documentation built using Xactimate, Symbility, and industry-standard estimation tools
  • Complete claim file delivered to you and your carrier — at no cost
02Document & Present

We deal with the carrier so you don't have to.

This is the step where most restoration companies disappear and most claims get under-paid.

Our in-house insurance and claims team has over two decades of commercial claims experience. We know how carriers operate, how scopes get under-written, and how to document additional damage and code upgrades so they're identified and built into the approved scope from the start.

  • Direct engagement with the assigned adjuster and carrier desk
  • Documentation packages that match adjuster expectations and pre-empt common denials
  • Detailed documentation of additional damage, code upgrades, and missed scope items
  • Coordination with property owner appointed appraisers, mediators, or attorneys when escalation is needed
  • You stay informed every step of the way — we just handle the work
03Restore & Rebuild

Licensed crews. Code compliance. Single point of accountability.

CJ Restoration is a Class B General Contractor — not a sales front for subcontractors.

Once your claim is approved, our production team takes over. The same company that documented the damage and built the scope is the one rebuilding your property. No handoffs to contractors who weren't part of the documentation process, no surprises about what the scope actually includes, no excuses about why something didn't get done right.

  • Licensed Class B General Contractor managing the entire rebuild
  • Permitted work and city inspections for every project
  • Quality materials matched to original specifications and code
  • Single point of contact from start to finish
  • Workmanship warranties on all completed restoration work
04Ongoing Protection

The relationship doesn't end at the final walkthrough.

Documentation and ongoing support that protects your property long after the project closes.

Storm-damaged properties are more vulnerable to future losses. Carriers know this and look for reasons to deny secondary claims. We give you the documentation, photo records, and ongoing relationship needed to defend against future disputes — and the option to enroll in our Property Watch Program for proactive monitoring before the next storm hits.

  • Complete project documentation and photo archive for your records
  • Workmanship warranty support and follow-up on any post-completion issues
  • Optional enrollment in the Property Watch Program for pre-storm monitoring
  • Standing relationship for future inspection requests and ongoing property documentation

Put this process to work on your property.
